A Bad Boy with a Good Heart

Hello guys, welcome back! Today all we are talking about is boys, and not any kind of boys; but boys that are known for their bad boy characters on their shows/ movies. And why are we focusing on this, you may ask. Well, my group and I have decided we want our male character in our film opening to have that 'bad boy' image. We have taken inspiration from many well-known actors who play a bad boy character in their show or movie, in order to create our male character, who if you were wondering is going to be called Liam!

The first bad boy that came to mind was Damon Salvatore, a vampire in The Vampire Diaries novel series. Damon comes off as an arrogant and reckless person, who does not care about anything or anyone. Later on the show however, his vulnerability is revealed as he falls for a girl, Elena Gilbert

Yes, we do want to create a bad boy image for our male character but not someone who is rude or reckless, but someone who will fight for what they love. For our film opening, it is more of a bad boy image than a personality that we want to create. Therefore, we are thinking of giving Liam a  classic bad boy outfit, and as we researched different bad boy characters in shows/movies, we found some things all have in common, regarding their clothes. They all wear dark clothes, mostly black; their hair length is usually to the long side, but not THAT long; as for pants, jeans is a must and extra points if they are ripped.

Furthermore, we took inspiration from comedy/ drama film The Breakfast Club's John Bender. Bender is the typical 80's bad boy image character. Although he may seem careless and fearless, the movie reveals Bender is just a soft, tortured soul with a big heart who's just putting up a brave front; just how we want to characterize Liam.

We want to show that even if Liam has a troubled past, he is able to overcome this and be able to love his girlfriend Margo, the main character. Additionally, like Damon, we want to show Liam is disposed to sacrifice everything and leave everything behind for Margo.
